PATENTSCOPE is a new search tool on the WIPO website that allows you not only to search the PCT database of over  one million PCT international applications, but also the patent collections of ARIPO, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, Panama, Peru, Republic of Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Uruguay and Vietnam. The external databases page provides links to the searchable patent databases of over 25 National Offices with machine translations of portions of the patent documents. This search facility features flexible search syntax, automatic word stemming and relevance ranking, as well as graphical results.

Instead of going to the national website in their local language, you can read in English to perform a search in English. PATENTSCOPE allows a simultaneous search of multiple countries. The multi-lingual search capability of the search engine and the machine translation of the patent search results is a quick way to get many results in English at one time.
